What other watches might I be interested in?
Recently I have begun exploring other watch options outside Rolex and wondered what other watches I might be interested in. If you have any suggestions please feel free to share.
Currently I own a Submariner, GMT Master II, and Omega Moonwatch. I prefer sports watches with steel bracelets. I have examined Grand Seiko and although they are quite beautiful and the new 9SA5 movement in very interesting - the watches are just too dressy and flashy for my taste. Many other watches I have viewed are much too formal and dressy for my requirements although many are simply amazing. I am quite interested in the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph in stainless and blue although the price seems near my upper limit. Ideally I would like to stay in the $5-15k range for another stainless sports piece. Any suggestions on offerings by other fine companies? |

Omega Aqua Terra is great in both strap and bracelet.
Omega Seamaster Diver IWC Pilot Chrono Cartier Santos, same as Omega AT, great on steel or strap Breitling has a few options on steel too Those are the first few that pop into mind. Grand Seiko is great, but if you don’t like, you don’t like and that’s ok. |

Zenith Chrono aka Zaytona would fit your budget at around 10k.

Zenith Chronomaster Sport seems right up your alley.
Cartier Santos, GP Laureato are excellent bracelet sports watches if you like the Overseas. Lastly, I wonder if you’d enjoy a Panerai? EDIT: Oh and maybe an Octo Finissimo? |

I have ordered the Breguet Marine 5517 but not too sure of the delivery date. I recommend this piece.

I second the Santos suggestion. GP Laureato Panda chrono would be a good choice, although I think the market on them exploded recently so not sure if pricing is in your range.

Stick with Rolex, and add some 6-digit references to the 5-digits you already own. The difference is night-and-day. The modern sub is basically perfection. You could also add an Explorer or Air-King to add some variety and have some arabic numerals in the mix.
If another brand is to be considered, my go-to recommendation is always Tudor BB58. That watch packs so much punch for the money. Other Black Bay options area also worth considering, like the BB ceramic.

Glashutte Original, either Seaq or Panoreserve. I currently do not own one, but looking as the Rolex games are getting old.

If you love the VC get the VC. Many great choices have already been mentioned.
Another option, get three 'cheap fun' timepieces... and lots of straps.

Bulgari Octo Finissimo is a good call.
If you like VC Overseas, you should look at the Parmigiani Tonda GT or Parmigiani Tondagraph GT. |

Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful suggestions.
I visited a Jaeger-LeCoultre authorized dealer in Northern Virginia today and enjoyed a horrible experience. The staff was far from friendly and they only had a half-dozen or so pieces. There was nothing I was interested in (Polaris) so I will look for another JLC AD in the area. They did have a nice selection of Breitling and I had a chance to put on a Chronomat 42 which seemed quite nice. While departing the area I stopped into the Omega boutique and had an absolutely wonderful time examining a few Diver 300M Seamasters. Maybe pick up one to compliment my Speedmaster Moonwatch. There are a few other names mentioned above that I still plan to learn more about and hopefully see some in person. |

If you can stretch your budget, I would go with a Glashutte SeaQ or Blancpain Air Command. Otherwise at this price point I’d stick with Rolex, because Rolex dominates the $10k and under sports market, and with good reason (quality, price retention, etc). Good luck!

That's a wonderful choice! It's nice when a luxury brand treats enthusiasts with kindness.

Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe or the under rated Breguet XXI chrono- the 3810 version comes on a nice bracelet ( though the rose gold version on a strap can be found for under $15k ) or the newer 3817 version which I think only comes on a strap: ( pics found on the webs)

Thanks to everyone for all your wonderful suggestions. I am still taking my time to research and consider many of the suggestions made. Yesterday I went on an adventure and picked up a watch that I have been considering for quite some time.
The new addition to my harem is a beautiful Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Chronometer: |
