White speedy, such a good release

Picked up my white speedy today, what a great release. I though omega would stuff something up but it’s literally a perfect speedy for daily use.

I like how it sits on my wrist vs the 321, how the movement is more accurate and also antimagnetic. My iPad cover has magnetised a few of my watches.

Joins my other four. One more slot in the watch box.

Is the one on the right the Tokyo with the new bracelet?

What do you think of that one compared to the new white Speedy?

I agree with you on how the 321 sits. I haven't tried one, but i have the FOIS which I believe is an identical case shape. Because of the straight lugs it seems to wear thicker.

That one is a mitsukoshi mod on a 1863. It's a sliver dial vs this one which is pure white. I'm still in the honeymoon phase of the white dial so I can't objectively compare at the moment but before this new watch I wore the Mitsu Mod the most.

Was lucky enough to be allocated one on the first day. I love it. You will buy one when you see it in the flesh.

Both look great, but I think the black hands and markers really help with legibility on the new one. Can't wait to finally see one in person.

Legibility is not important...just look at the success of the Panda Daytona.

(I kid... legibility is the top reason why I am on the list for the White Speedy)

I hear ya

Yeah the older I get, the more it matters. If purely wearing a watch for jewelry I guess a Daytona works just fine. I like to actually USE my watches for their intended purpose so screw down pushers and illegible dials aren't my thing

Congrats on a great looking watch. As I said in the other thread, I saw one at an Omega boutique. I actually saw it side by side with the black sapphire sandwich. I was struck by 1) the fact that the dial did NOT appear too large (as white dials often do) vs the black and 2) how visually the dial appeared to have more depth with the recessed sub dials. Really a fantastic look IMO.

Totally agree, and for your 2nd point i feel this easily justifies the slight price increase vs the black. The black with the matte dial and painted lume doesn’t have the same look as these.
