AP worldwide availability and price

New to the forum, so please be gentle if the subject’s been already discussed. Could members share some insight on where in world availability for SS RO pieces is highest (for a first time buyer), and where prices are the lowest after the 2020 price increase. In Asia it would seem Malaysia is considerably cheaper than the rest, but availability most likely limited.

I’ve been bitten by the AP bug, and am itching to get either a 15450 or 15500 (obviously not in blue). The former still seems to only be going for a small premium, so makes sense to try and get my hands on one from a boutique and start building a purchase history, rather than be one and done with a Grey Seller.

Likely there are no answers at availability is noet very good anywhere for either of the SS watches you want. Best to look in the Watches for Sale section or on Chrono24.

I was in the KL boutique a couple of weeks ago

No 15500 obviously, they had a 26331st on display but not for sale, along with the camo ROO. Good selection of ROO and divers for sale though

I should have added that price wise, I found KL to be fractionally more than Australia. And then add in the tax refund for tourists in Australia and its quite a bit cheaper here

However, we don't have a boutique and stock here is woeful. I cant even get an AD to show me a ROO locally

Well I finally managed to get a 15450 Grey as well. Had to wait all of one day from registering my interest as a First time Buyer! It was from one of the boutiques in SE Asia, but not sure if I should say which one

Likely the temporary effect of the Coronavirus stopping most Chinese Buyers in their tracks. Not good for the economy overall, but guess I'll ride this wave for as long as I can

Next stop Blue Dial

I wouldn't be surprised if the SA came back to me in a week with a blue dial to be honest...she was insistent there was no bundling in AP but that she would do her very best to try and get me what I really want next

Seems to be desperate times desperate measures...wonder when Rolex will wake up
