First Incoming!

After 6 months waiting for an 114060 Sub with no luck I decided I couldn’t wait any longer to start the collection.

I decided to pull the trigger on a Seamaster 300 professional. The decision was blue dial or black. The blue dial won in the end. Picked it up a couple of hours ago and love it.

I picked it up brand new from my local AD who is also a Rolex AD.
They had some good Rolex stuff in tried to sell me yacht master 40 in both rhodium and also blue dial. Also a Deepsea Black and the new Sea Dweller TT. The SD was lovely but above budget. The DS was far to thick for me and I’m not that big on the yacht master.

Someone at my Mrs work is friends with the store manager so managed to get a decent discount and also been told I shouldn’t have too long a wait for my Sub!

Anyway, here is a wrist shot!

Thanks. Originally thought I preferred the planet ocean but the Seamaster 300 looked better on the wrist.

Thanks all.

I will try and get some more decent pics to post up. I realised it looks pretty big on my wrist in the first picture but it’s wears perfectly.

Really enjoying having the micro adjustment in the bracelet, such a good feature.

Good choice on the blue, especially if you're planning on getting a sub!

Congrats on the start of your collection.

Awesome watch and love the color. Check into picking up one of their blue rubber straps. They look amazing on that watch.

Congratulations. Picked up the same watch but with rubber strap a few weeks ago and really enjoying it.

Appreciate all the nice comments.

I’m going to keep it on the steel bracelet at the minute. May look into a nato at some point for a different look.

Unsure on whether I should focus my attention on a BLNR instead of a sub now as I already have the diver covered.

This watch thing gets addictive/expensive!

Anything that moved you to this vs the older 2500 models that are out there?

I much prefer the newer model. I feel the older model looks a bit dated. Plus I kind of wanted a new watch rather than pre-owned.

The ceramic dial and bezel look amazing on this new model. A small detail but I also love the red Seamaster writing.

Looks fantastic. I'm considering this watch a Sub from an AD appears to be impossible at the moment. What % discount were you able to get from your AD?

Nice, a SMP and Sub are a lovely duo anyway. Make sure you keep both, they're such different watches!

Absolutely stunning! Looks amazing on the wrist and I picked one up as well. I think that the fit, finish, movement, and depth of the dial is better than my own 114060. Congrats and wear it in great health!
