Hi guys, quick question. I have seen the PM oyster and presidential bracelets using a ceramic tube to prevent premature wear. My question is, does the two tone bracelet for my submariner (116613lb) use a similar sleeve/tube? I suppose it would since the sleeve protects the PM portion of the link but wanted all of you WIS folks input. Thanks!

Some folks say that the ceramic sleeve is there to reduce wear.

Others might say that the sleeve is because the gold links are thinner than the steel links and the sleeve is there to take up the space.

Take out a screw and see. I expect that you do have sleeves.

AFAIK only on full gold bracelets.
We will only know if this sleeve really works in preventing wear after a decade or so.

IIRC, the ceramic sleeves are inserted to protect the screws moreso than the link itself. While they offer protection to both, it is the softer gold screws that wear out faster than the SS ones.

But the proof is in the disassembly - your TT bracelet will have SS screws - so let us know what you find.

Your watch will have a ss tube for the ss screw goes into.
