How to avoid the dreaded: Un-insertion.

Have had my Seiko triple seven a little over a month now, still love it. . I find myself wearing it on the weekends, and my Rolex during the week; go figure . Anyway, the only complaint I have is how do I stop the (this weeks newly-made up term) “Un-insertion”. I find it happens all the time and it’s rather annoying. I moved the holder way up the band but found that to be very uncomfortable. Does anyone else have this issue and how did you solve it, or am I just a Dorklehead?

My strap does pop out occasionally. The current Seiko straps are pretty good snd it does not happen often. You could buy a different strap or a bracelet. Iam changing a couple of straps to bracelets.

You would think more companies would add a little nub on the keeper so that it basically "snaps" into one of the holes towards the end of the strap.

Get rid of the metal keeper and put a rubber on it and it won't happen. A rubber keeper will grab the strap and keep it from moving. The metal one will not.

Mine does exactly the same thing. I was going to post the question also. I have been keeping it up closer to the buckle or it slides off.

I would actually prefer a rubber keeper, and here is the (probably stupid) question: Can I purchase a Seiko rubber keeper anywhere? If anyone can help much appreciated.

I swapped mine out for a Bonetto Cinturini 284 and it makes our turtles fit perfect. Soft, comfortable and they have a wonderful vanilla smell.

I bought the SEIKO 22mm Genuine Rubber Strap Straight bent/ DAL1BP from Seiya Japan. It is the new replacement for the original gl831 that would have come on the 6309s

You can take one off any rubber strap the same diameter as the one you have.

I dont have issues with “un-insertions”. Especially with rubber.

You can get a whole new band with a "rubber keeper" for under $10 without the Seiko logo at the end of the band or under $20 with the logo on eBay. Just search "seiko rubber band"
