The Rain-Dweller.
I think we’ve had two dry days in the last month here in Dallas.

Guys, let me state very clearly... I hate you all! Those are all fantastically beautiful watches and I congratulate you every single one. Here is a question while we are on the SD thread.

I seriously considered getting a white-dial SS. Currently, I wear a white dial DJ41 (also SS) and really enjoy it. I had the EXII and liked it as well, but wanted the nicer look of the DJ. Anyway I found that 41MM is the minimum size for me, 42 is fine, but I just don’t like the 40s. To each his own but I decided my next watch would either be a SS or WG SD.... then...

I tried a WG on in the AD the other day and must say, I was a bit turned off by the ... “thickness” of the case. It just did not seem to wear comfortable. I am wondering if the extra weight of the WG contributed to this feeling, and the SS would not give me the same impression, but (suprise!) they didn’t have a SS in the shop. It is definitely thicker then my DJ41 but it seemed even more so then my old EXII (216570).

Am I imagining things? Do any of you find that the thickness of the case makes for an uncomfortable wear? Is it something you noticed but got used to? Or... am I just being a Dorklehead?

Again, your watches are excellent and I congratulate you all.

Beautiful piece. I m tempted to trade my Sky Blue for this particular piece. Any regrets? Thanks in advance.

I love my Skydweller. The more I interact with it the more I realize how much of a great watch it is. It has an annual calendar and a GMT complication but it is incredibly easy to set. Everything clicks and works with such a positive, clean and reassuring way.
The blue sunburst dial is so beautiful in my eyes too!!
What a great watch !

The SkyDweller is unfortunately a bit of a tall watch. That takes a little getting use to for some like myself. The SS version that I have is not too heavy but still I would say on the heavy side. The bracelet thickness and the balance of the watch is what saves the day and after few days on the wrist you will not feel it at all. It wears very comfortable on my 7.75”wrist. I did not remove any links but I did move the bracelet to the last ( back ) position from the center of the clasp. In the winter it wears on the tight side and in the summer I wear it with the easy link open.
I am not a fan of tall watches myself and unlike u I prefer the 40mm watches for weight reasons even though I can easily carry a 44mm on my wrist without a problem. It’s just a personal preference. However I’m very happy with the way this one wears and feels on my wrist even though I would have liked it to be thinner and a bit lighter.
I hope this help a bit.

Cool picture of the dial. I’ve never seen the white dial appear so ivory.

Just got mine on Wednesday. This is the first Rolex I’ve owned that I can’t wait to put on in the morning. Glad to be a member of this club!

Paul, I also have the DJ 41 and Explorer II. The thickness of the Sky Dweller case is something I got used to after a few hours. I find it very comfortable. You'll love it if you get one.

Nah never regretted by the full precious metal version. I love precious metal and the heft of them.

I still have a few SS Rolex's but honestly they don't get worn much if at all. Just sit there in the box.
