Keeping an open mind and purely from an aesthetic standpoint, the BB58 wins this contest hands down!!

I thought the same thing....

OP, depends on what you are going to do on vacation. If you are actually going to dive, I would say the Omega. It is a classic.

If you just want a watch to wear on the boat, at the beach, around town, I would say the Tudor.

Omega SMP300 '18. Antimagnetic mechanism is a valuable thing.

Yes omega milking speedmaster like crazy, but at least it shown speedmaster variance , (dark side, blue side, all stupid limited editions) but all come with different shape , while Tudor?? They only sell blackbay with variance COLOURS... And now they release 39 mm and callednew product?,, Guarantee next year the bb58, come with new colours each years until 2023! That's what called milking!

Tudor Black Bay 58 vs Omega Seamaster 300 (both 2018 Basel releases)

Jump onto the Tudor website and look and see how many Black Bays there are... Yes lots.

Now jump onto the Omega website when you have a spare afternoon. Then when you're on holidays you can look at the back story on Chrono24.

That's just Speedmasters. If you want to look at Seamasters then you'll not only need twice as long, you'll also need to read all the dials because although they all share the name Seamaster, many have no other similarities.

Tudor is a family.
Omega is the whole damn nation.

The Omega cow...

PS
As I said, I like both watches.

I've always been a fan of the Omega Seamaster Pro, and have a current generation 2500D-powered version. The Omega wins for me. More strap options, and I like the ceramic bezel. In terms of accuracy, they are pretty much neck-and-neck: both have more than I would ever really require. I also like Omega's clasp, and the date function is handy.

Wore it as daily for a good few years but on this occasion,,
It has to be the 58,,,
Omega looks a tad gimmicky

Thinking it over, the Omega is a superior watch. I like the Simple look of the BB but it's hard to ignore all that you get from the Seamaster. But firstly, it won't hold it's value which for me if I'm keeping not investing then no big deal, plus it can be bought with a greater discount.. Secondly, I have always loved the Seamaster but not that one, a traditional all black or blue would be better.

Surprised "milking" is such an issue, that being the case I guess most here would never buy a 911. I'm lactose intolerant, so don't care for milk, but this is about a watch not food or corporate strategy.
Omega in this case, just barely.

Both nice. Tough choice.

The Tudor is a great value and clean looking.

The Omega is really sharp with that wave dial.

I think they are both great watches but it will come down to do you want a 42 mm Omega or a 39 mm Tudor. I think the better comparison would be the standard BB at 41 mm. I am a huge Tudor fan and currently own 6, including the new GMT. I handled the BB 58 at the Tudor event at my AD and the watch is small in comparison to the standard BB. I know that is the point but until you see it and wear it I don't think many will know how it actually wears. The new Omega's are on the radar and I look forward to handling them when they arrive at my local AD. Significant discounts can be had on the Omega's so that is where I would go.

I would prefer Omega in this case though I already own BB Blue!!

Omega is real updated model whereas BB58 is for left out folks who couldn't get the ideal Black Bay ( in 41 size) fit on their wrists!

Btw size is big factor.. Omega is 42mm whereas BB58 is 39mm!!

I’ve tried the BB58 on at a recent AD event that Preston’s had in Leeds .

Size wise the watch is perfect for me and fits exactly like a pre-ceramic Sub. You just have to try it. Fantastic is the word.

Aesthetically it is very pleasing, if this had Rolex on the dial, there would be queue all around the city.

The only thing that out me off was the gilt on the bezel and the link to David Beckham with the advertising. I hate this guy and don’t want to buy any product he is associated with, but boy that BB58 is good.

Could you imagine if Rolex made a 5513 etc again with a gilt dial, the BB58 is as close as it would ever get. Lovely thing.

Last word, for he price it is a bargain and I do not see any reason to buy an Omega.

If it's the only one you are taking, go with the Tudor. If you are bringing another more dinner/dress type as well, go with the Omega.

You sound like someone worried that a future line of 39mm Black Bays will affect the value of the larger models. I have to wonder if even the ETA BB black will cool off a bit when the BB58 is widely available.
