Authenticity of 14060M?

Hello everybody,

Thinking about buying this watch (comes with box and papers). Dealer seems to be ok and have talked to him on the phone. Offers a return policy that I will use to send the watch to Rolex to certify its authenticity. Dealer is ok with this.

Any input will be very much appreciated.

Best regards,

If you need to send the watch to Rolex to check authenticity then you must not trust the seller the pictures look fine always buy the seller.

It looks good to me. Is it an Authorized Dealer that you are buying from? Very unlikely if it is an AD that they'd be selling fake Rolex watches.

Even the best dealer can fall prey to a stolen watch so I applaud your plan to have RSC see the watch and perform a service if it’s needed.

As Peter said the watch appears fine.

Now how does the dealer’s return policy work if Rolex retains the watch and sends it to authorities due to a theft report?

Thanks for all your replies.

No, it’s not an AD.

Yes, I also don’t know what would happen if the watch was stolen or fake. Would the dealer still refund my money? :-O

The deal is not closed yet. Still finding out about how well preserved the bracelet is, when the watch was (and by whom) last serviced and negotiating the price.

The case and bracelet have been polished so inquire about service history. If it's never been to an RSC then bank on spending money on a service. It likely needs it.

If you're not totally and completely comfortable with this seller, then you should pass and buy from a seller you know and trust.

It's just not worth the risk.

Anyone can post a bunch of pictures.

love the clean look of a 4 liner sub, less verbiage on the dial..

as other stated the search for a rolex in the wild is risky,
do proper research first.

Z serial will require service unless that has been done. Figure $700 unless it needs a new pip or has something else wrong.

Buy here on TRF from trusted sellers (check who’s who)

Thanks!

Dealer never came back with the requested pic and info about service. Guess it is better this way. Will keep on looking.
