Best AD to use in upstate NY?

I’m moving to upstate NY and want to build out a collection and obviously would like to get as many pieces as I can directly from an AD. Should I focus on AD’s in NYC or maybe the smaller ones in upstate NY? Keep in mind I’m looking to build a long term relationship from scratch.

I am aware but they told me straight in the face that I should look elsewhere and their lists are closed

There is only one AD in Buffalo (Reeds Jenss). The SAs (Shannon in particular) who specialize in Rolex are very friendly as is the Assistant Manager (Ali). If they are not in the shop and another salesperson fills-in behind the counter, visiting is very unproductive. Given our market size, the rate of new inventory coming in is on the low side. Pls keep in mind that I am reporting only what I have been told by my SA...I am not a whale and have a small purchase history.

Until two or three years ago, there was an AD in Rochester - which has since closed. The next closest is just outside Syracuse. I've never been, so I don't have any info to share.

Those are it for Western New York. Everything else is closer to downstate/Albany/NYC.

If you can wait out the border restrictions, Toronto is less than two hours away. Obviously a much, much bigger market but there are some ADs there.

It’ll be very tough to build out a collection without an existing relationship. Every AD already has VIP clients ready to purchase.

I’ve personally only had a good experience with them. I’ve dealt with both Ashley and Ali and they’re both super nice and helpful with everything, would highly recommend either of them (they’re husband and wife so depends who’s busy when you get there).

On Rolex.com it looks like there’s a boatload of ADs across the border in and around Toronto.

I spoke with this AD once to introduce myself and talk about some longer term interests…. The SA (man) rudely told me they have many customers already and that I should go back to where I purchased my prior Rolex. I was wearing a 116718 at the time.

I was shocked and would never recommend doing business with this AD.

Basically since I'm starting a collection from scratch I won't to build out a long term relationship with any AD in NY state. It's a bit of a gamble to curious which one would be my best bet.
