New Submariner Review (124060)

The new iteration of the Submariner 124060 has been out for almost a year now. I received mine recently and this review really convinced me to buy it sight unseen. This is my favorite review of the new Submariner and if you have or haven’t seen it yet, I hope you enjoy it.

This one is fantastic. I remember watching this right after they posted it. I subscribe to their YouTube channel. I really liked that they got out the calipers and then measured and compared 3 generations of subs side by side to show how little difference there really is. I also love how excited he is. You can tell that he just loves subs. I think I am going to have the same "kid in a candy store" reaction when I get mine.

Thanks for posting this. I am waiting for my call from my AD to get one and I just found your post. This is a good way to occupy my time while I wait.

Not sure if anyone has seen the follow up they did, but two weeks later they did another review, this time with ALL of the new subs side by side with their old 11 series counterparts, and the 5 digit counterparts. 9 subs side by side in this review.

Ya that was a great video for sure. Had mine from my AD 2 weeks after release and couldn’t be happier to this day

Help. My submariner which I bought new 7 years ago now stops after three days. I wear it from 7.00an to 10.00pm each day. I am active, walking and doing lots of DIY at home. What do people think I should do? I expected better.

Service

Very coincidental that I came across this post, mine was losing time the past couple weeks or so and then stopped.

Didn't matter how many times I wound it.

It's my daily watch as well.

Brought it in for service and now it works perfectly again.

First time I had to have it serviced since I bought it from a friend about 7 years ago.

I think it is broken. I would suggest contacting Rolex to repair it. Yes, I get you expected more. How many years did you expect it to be just fine without service...10, 20, 50 years?

Yes, it should not have happened but we can't fix it and are not very good at sympathy.

Amazing review. Love Nathan’s combo of nerdiness, enthusiasm, and value-add synopsis. 12 series are PERFECT.

Well dang, this review actually changed by perspective on a few big reservations on the new Sub. Wish I had seen it sooner.

Love the new SUB. I think they did a great job with the size and overall balance. Looks good and doesn't feel bigger compared to the previous gen.
