£9000 watch - VC Patrimony or Moser Venturer ?

I've been searching for a while through all the usual suspects and narrowed down to these two but can't decide which to buy, pros and cons with both.
Which would you buy and why?

2014 unworn Vacheron Constantin Patrimony 81180, 40mm rose gold with grey dial, box and papers £8900.

2017 mint H Moser & Cie Venturer 2327, 39mm rose gold with brown fume dial, box and papers £9000.

The VC for me. If you can get it for that price it’s a good buy.

Both beautiful pieces. I couldn’t decide without trying both on and wouldn’t trust a bunch of strangers either !!!

VC - no contest. Looked at both in person and VC's quality blows away Moser. The VC model you're showing does not have an open back, that's fine. It is slim and sat on my 7.25" wrist perfectly. Finish is top notch.

Moser was okay. The finish is top, but not close to VC IMHO. VC also has a more classic design, which is a plus for me.

Many thanks, the solid case back is the only thing that makes me hesitate, I would so much prefer to see the movement

Tough call. I like that Moser is independent and not afraid to be playful with their designs, but personally find my style to be conservative and more in line with this VC. Can’t go wrong, you’ll have to decide which speaks to you more. Good luck!

I will go against the grain here and take the Moser, a seconds hand is a must for me and the dial is a lot more interesting than the Patrimony. And for that tier of horology, I better expect to see the movement displayed, case thinness be damned!

Believe me, although that movement is one of the prettiest they make, you really don’t want a display back to see it. It is so much too small for this watch it’d look clownish.

Much like on the 5196 there is a very good reason not to display the movement here.

Personally, I prefer a fantastic movement that I don’t see to an ok movement that I do. So the Moser’s display back would not be a decisive factor here. It’s not the same tier of watch.

The Vacheron is a far higher quality piece. Unless you have to have an independent, this is a very easy choice, in my opinion.

If you want to go VC route and want to see the movement, take a look at ref.
1110U/000G-B086. Same style as the two-handed model, but with a see-through caseback, a second hand, and a little thickness. Out of the two, I prefer the reference mentioned above.

Between those specific two, the VC is what I'd imagine myself wearing more. But if you changed the color of the Moser dial, Moser!

I own the Traditionnelle Small Seconds and I personally like the seconds hand, the 38mm case, the display back, and the additional thickness. It's truly a gorgeous watch but all Vacherons are.
