Rolex Sub Mariner Ref # 7016/0 Wristwatch Case.

"Rolex Sub Mariner Ref # 7016/0 Wristwatch Case." is what the headline reads. Now I know the reference number 7016 should be a tip off of the Tudor line. As a WIS on Rolex watches this is how I started this thread: This is a interesting Rolex case, the case back is marked exactly like a Rolex woman's case back.......................... then I started thinking about the Rolex line and it came to me that this is a Tudor case and not a Rolex case which is a different manufacture of watch, please do not get me wrong here Tudor is still a good watch. The seller is trying to sell this as a Rolex case and that would be considered deception if the buyer thinks it is a Rolex case and pays top dollar for this case. I have re-read the sellers description of the case and the seller does not state Tudor in any of his description.

Clear case of mis-representation at best. we will see what LC says about it.

It is indeed a case made by ROLEX . However it is not a ROLEX SUBMARINER case with ref 7016/0 because that does not exist . 5500,5512, ..... 16610 and soon 116610 but no 7016/0 . That are TUDOR reference numbers .
So there is a clear issue of misrepresentation here .

What sucks here is that the item explicitly states "case by rolex". WTF are you going to do. i doubt anyone would buy this item without knowing exactly what it is. however, i agree its funny. the seller likely will realize less on the sale due to his inept marketing. Harry

It does say Rolex on it, but we know it's for a different reason. I could see the mixup if it wasn't a watch person. Good catch!

I asked about the shipping charge, because I was intersted in this.

I asked "Is the shipping charge correct? $125??"

I received the following reply -

"Yes they are quite correct.

What is also correct is that you did not read our international shipping information.

shame on you.

watchpartsrus"

I have read description twice and fail to see what they are on about. $125 to send a watch case is taking the p**s regardless.

Excessive shipping charges can also be construed as fee circumvention, we'll let L.C. comment on this one.
