Another ebay scam

Hi guys, just a heads up, a member who just bought a watch from me had it stolen by a watchmaker that advertised his service on ebay.
He had over 1000 good feedbacks too!!
I strongly advise everybody to NEVER have someone on ebay do their service EVER!!!
As you can see even the good ones go bad, in this case the guy probably got into financial trouble and needs extra funds, just my thought.
There are plenty of great references here that can lead you to a trusted watchmaker or deal locally in your area.
Please reply to this post often to get the message out there.

Regards. Andy

The person it happened to just posted the situation inthe general rolex discussion section, he does not want to reveal his name yet and i have to respect that.
Check his post for updates and more info as the situation unfolds.

Thanks Andy. I am the one who sent the watch for service. The ebay seller (Watchmaker) was out of town for one week while his mother had surgery. During that time the seller received a negative feedback from another customer who claimed the watchmaker had stolen his watch. This seller has 1267 100% positive feed backs other than that one negative.

It appears I jumped the gun in reporting the problem. The seller (watchmaker) has contacted me and the watch is in queue for service.

I will report back in a few weeks what the outcome was. At this point I do not believe there is any active fraud taking place.
