I like both colours of wine, but prefer the bubbly stuff.

Nah, we're technically out of the woods for anything after 2010-12 (at least so far) and these aren't Leflaive's thank god! The incidence of premox for any Rav regardless of vintage at least for me and my group of burg hounds has been incredibly low, thank the lord. There are so few of these gems its tragic when any of them are flawed.

First of the 2006 Tahbilk Cab.Sav.
A fine wine from a long established maker in the Nagambie Lakes district of Central Victoria. Has aged well and currently drinking at it's best. Good depth of flavour, nicely balanced characteristics and a lingering finish. Lovely traditional style of Victorian wine.
Enjoyed a few glasses while cooking dinner.

Brought few bottles on a trip to Las Vegas. Enjoyed the 2009 Far Niente Cabernet at dinner last night. Went very well with the veal paresan at Sinatra's in the Encore.

I know you tried to start a short lived wine group for TRF members on Facebook. Is this something similar?

Well my intentions weren't to recreate an existing group, especially since I only invited two people

But the group I'm referencing isn't on Facebook, and good thing to because facebook has been cracking down on illicit trading groups.

Saturday night, friends round for dinner and drinks.
Standouts were:
Taylors St.Andrews 2005 Clare Cabernet Sauvignon.
Just a superb wine drinking at it's peak. Luscious, deep and complex. Rich and full of flavour. Worth every cent paid for it 12 years ago. Wish I had a case of it.

Followed a bit later by this superb Dessert wine.

Tonight's first bottle, should have opened it second. Slightly on the decline but still graceful in the glass.

Nice Kevin!! I always tell my wife "pour me a Chablis and you can have your way with me..." OK, not really but I think it!

No wine expert by any means, but my favorite wine is Sea Smoke Southing Pinot Noir. I’ve only had one bottle of it, it’s extremely hard to find, and even harder now that I’ve moved to London. If anyone has a good resource to find it here I would love to know about it!

I usually suggest international buyers to go through the winery directly but in GB you have a number of online resources for international wines that we don't have. I would simply start with a google search of online retailers.

You could see if their wine direct club will ship internationally. I like their wines too, and after a 6 month wait, I was in and have a cellar where Sea Smoke is not rare at all. Go to Sea Smoke’s website to check it out
