How many wear Mucros hats from Ireland . . .
. . . like THESE or something similar?
Here in southern USA baseball caps seem to be the ubiquitous dome cover. Usually the one-size-fits-all type with the adjustable strap in the back. I've come to prefer the flat cap or driver's cap which is fitted and very comfortable. You?

I collect hats. I have similar to what you're describing. I have cheese cutter, duck bill, a leather one and the big type used in Peaky blinders.
Plus Akubras, Bogart, Pork Pie aka Breaking Bad and a few Soviet style military caps. It's just all about health, happiness & family. The rest are just necessary inconvenience we have to deal with. |

I'll have to look some of those up.
Cheese cutter?! Does it smell?

The flat cap seems to be the latest fashion trend I’ve noticed in this neck of the woods
Certainly used to be called an old mans hat when I was growing up |

I have one that I picked up in Ireland. I usually wear it outside in the winter, shoveling or snow blowing. It’s ridiculously warm.

Yes indeed, flat cap or county caps. Have quite a few in different tweeds. Ones for shooting/hunting and others for normal casual wear.
Every old codger used to wear them or Trilby's when i was a kid. Coming back into fashion again, old baker boys etc. Lock and Co are one of the best out there for hats, well they should be, been around since mind 1600's. They do some awesome hats, expensive but last a lifetime. |

I have a few of these style hats. I like Bailey's of Hollywood. Reasonably priced and the quality is very good.

Donegal tweed if you like a warmer lid. Have 3 of them and they don’t disappoint. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I have a couple of "newsboy" type caps that I wear in cooler weather.
The ones I have come from Asia and are not expensive, but they are quite well made and warm.

Has anyone found a flat cap that works well in the summer? I used to have a seersucker hat that worked fairly well, but most of mine are too hot for wear when it's warmer outside.

Yes, I have 5 from Hanna Hats in Donegal. Love them (I was just in Ireland recently too).

I have a couple of John Hanly flat caps I wear all the time. They are great quality for the money.
