I'm not sure what was on that one or the exact price...

They’ve truly nailed the latest 911, it’s epic. I would say though that it is now more of a grand tourer than a sports car. Either way, when they bring out an electric version, I’m in!

I am jealous. I really want to see the Speedster in person. I think it’s a fitting end to the 991 generation.

I missed our release of the 992 but I had to take in my 911 to get serviced, and my dealer let me take out a Carrera S for the evening. It was amazing and such a wonderful addition to the 911 heritage.

Thanks for sharing those pictures and I hope you all had a wonderful time!

Like my Porsche 911 a bit older. From what I've read though the new cars are pretty damn good. I like my cars to have some soul though.

Looks like a good event. Thanks for sharing.

I'm probably in the minority but I miss the old gauge clusters and door handles. The rest of the updates seem fine.

Cleaning around the rear Porsche logo will be tedious. That needs a delete option.

Great post Larry!
Love the 911 in all of its iterations.

.....and to think, some people find this forum boring.

Not feeling the matte green color of the first car, very Lam-Bro. Didn’t go to a local event but did peruse the half dozen 992’s Porsche North Houston hason their lot. It may be a minority opinion here but Porsche pricing has gotten silly. When I bought my 991 Carrera in 2012 it was nicely optioned at $92K and I got over $6K off for year end. $110K would have bought a nice Carrera S.
All of the 992 Carrera S that I saw were close to $150K! The 911 is no longer “aspirational,” it’s a rich man’s toy.

Great pictures. The last one, with the luggage rack, reminds me of my old VW Karmann Ghia

Can't argue that. And, very few seem to be daily driven. Too many owners are worried about racking up miles and losing value. What's the point?

Nice thanks for sharing. I was unable to attend the launch party at my local dealer this time but I guarantee it was nothing special. A hell of a car the 992.

I miss the days when there seemed to be less similarities between VW group brands. They're getting lazy in some aspects but it's a lovely car, nonetheless.

The 992 hasn’t grown on me yet. I still prefer the 991

Looks nice.
Minor updates only, I'd have called this the 991.3.

Regardless, will get the Turbo when it is available here.
