I got to photograph both the SD1 and SD2, and while the SD2 was an excellent watch, the SD1 was the more visually interesting of the two. Your green one looks fantastic. It is a real shame than Dietrich is no longer an active brand, but I suspect Emmanuel Dietrich will dip his toes in the watch designing world again.

What were the differences between the SD1 and SD2?

The SD2 didn't have a layered sapphire dial (or a sapphire bezel insert) and was more 'two dimensional'. But the lume was stronger and it was still good value.

Sarcasm? The brand went under a few years ago but is in motion for a comeback. You can find some pieces on ebay notably the OT line such as the Dietrich OT-1

Their website refers to a retailer, where several models are in stock?

https://www.gnomonwatches.com/collections/dietrich

Not an SD, but I finally pulled the trigger on a Dietrich TC Pure after wanting one for a few years now:

Sorry to geek out but the hour hand is too long for that dial in my opinion.

Man that looks great! How does it feel on the wrist? Can you post some more shots please? Also did you get it from Gnomon watches?
