Vintage Rolex "14k Trim" buckle...
http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53...mtid=824&kw=lg
This buckle has a 14k gold looking coronet. I think it looks great. The inside of the clasp says "14k Trim" and "U.S.A" on the inside. The seller has at least a few of them for sale. I haven't run across this configuration. Does anyone know if that coronet is solid 14k gold or if it is plated or gold filled? I really like it as a potential minor customization while retaining the original buckle in a safe place. Just a touch of gold. |

This is a authentic USA oval link band clasp for a two tone band there are no problems with it. Rolex made bands in the uk, USA, Japan, Argentina, Italy as well as Switzerland over the years that were officially licensed by Rolex Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thank you for clarifying. I appreciate you taking the time to educate me. Seems there is something new to learn every day. A guy could probably dedicate all day, every day to learning about vintage Rolexes and spend his entire life doing so.

That is seriously amazing looking. I really like that buckle. So does that mean that Rolex had a factory in Mexico or did they source the production to another company? And if so, who in Mexico produces watches? I have never heard of any watches or components being produced there.

Licensed band makers in these countries they did this as there were new import taxes placed on bands. They sent the heads only from Switzerland and then put these bands on watches when they all arrived all sanctioned by Rolex. Here's some other examples in order USA jb band first U.K. Made Rolex by wab USA c & I band Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
