What do you think of Seiko Arabic Dial?

Hey everyone,

I've been checking out those Seiko watches with Arabic dials and thought it might be cool to bring it up here. They're quite a departure from the usual designs, right? I'm really digging the unique vibe they bring, and was wondering if any of you have thoughts or even personal experiences with these watches.

It was the aesthetic appeal that caught my eye initially, but I know Seiko doesn't play around when it comes to quality either. Do you think the Arabic numeral design adds something special? Or is it just a matter of personal taste and doesn't really make a difference to you?

Anyway, I'm all ears. If you've got any pics or specific models you'd recommend, I'm also down to check those out!

Having lived in South West and and South Central Asia for nearly 10 years of my life, I bought one as a reminder of my time spent there. The watch keeps great time like my other low end seiko 5s and for $100, wasn't a bad purchase. Had I not lived there, I would not have bothered with it.

Hey aza!

Yeah man, those dials are very cool. I've always been attracted to Arabic dials, regardless of the watchmaker. I think watch nerds will strike up a conversation with you and folks that have no interest in watches whatsoever will be curious. And, as far as Seiko goes, they have nearly as long and rich of history as any of the Swiss guys that started well before they perfected the quartz watch that they are mostly associated with so they tick that box, as well.

That being said, who cares what anyone else thinks? Unless you're buying it as a gift for someone whose opinion you are seeking, of course. If you dig it, get it! I have a decent collection of Rolex, Omega, Zenith, GS, etc, but the pieces that make me smile the most are the eight in my collection of $260 Timex Marlin x Peanuts.

I think I will go shopping for an Seiko 5 with an Arabic dial now. Thanks for the heads up!
