Some serious measurements...

Hi guys,

Boy, is this bugger HEAVY.....managed to weigh the new OMEGA Planet Ocean this morning and he came in at a massive 210 grams (less 3 links which I've taken off).

Compare this with SD's 148 grams and that will give you some idea as to the excess weight I'm carting about.

Want some more statistics? Interlug space of all sports Rollies is 20 mm; the Omega (45.5 mm model) is a massive 22 mm, (but the 42 mm model is 20 mm).

The clasp width of the Omega is an impressive 20 mm; compare this with the Oyster clasp which is only 16 mm.

Well, there you have it. Always wondered why the 44 mm Panny is so popular with the guys. Now, after sporting a 45.5 mm watch for the last two day, I understand.

I'll do so first opportunity I get. Took Omega's weight yesterday.....a massive 210 grams in spite of taking off 3 links. Boy, is he heavy!! SD, with all original links, weighs in at 148 grams, a lightweight by comparison.
