Incoming - Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King-Date 5701 Circa. 1973 Two-Tone

Hello TRF fam,

I just purchased the famous Air-King model, but the "rare" two-tone Date version.

Please note - I used the word "rare" loosely here, perhaps should've use "uncommon" as I know in this section there are way rarer models...

That said, I have to admit feel in love from the moment I set my eyes on it ; )

Watch is pretty much untouched/unpolished from what I can see, the lugs are thick and sharp, the dial is clean and hands match as well... so yeah very please with it. The 1520 movement ticks well, but will eventually need a service given that the previous owner had no idea when it was last serviced...

The watch came with its original 7835 two tone folded links oyster bracelet, but its' in poor condition/shape, probably never serviced from the looks of it.

I wanted to know from the experts here, is it me or the watch wears/appears bigger than 34mm - I measured the case and it came to 35mm vs my wife's Rolex date at 34mm, also the crown is also bigger (which is amazing if you ask me).

Anyways, looks incredible on my 6 1/5 inch wrist

I will attach some pics for you guys to see.

Thanks and have a great day!

Nice pick up, I certainly understand the attraction. The dial is easy to read, I like that. Do enjoy.
