Finally got a steel sub

So here goes my little watch story

Started off with a datejust in 2015. Still have it. My wife wears it.

Then came across trf. Started researching and reading about rolex watches. Always wanted a submariner steel.

Prices went sky high. To scratch the itch, i got the 1991 explorer. Gifted to my sister as her birth year watch. Explorer cudnt replace the sub.

Bought the datejust 2 azzuro steel. Gifted it to my father.

Still wasnt satisfied. In the middle of all that 126613ln came up during covid. I grabbed it in anticipation that tt would compensate me for the steel sub.

Still wasnt happy. Gold was too much for me. I found it too flashy.

I got some micro brand divers too to replace the sub. Cudnt. Sold them all.

Finally took the decision to sell the tt and buy the submariner 114060.

Finally after 8 years i got a steel sub.

Lesson learnt. Only buy wht u really love otherwise its a regret and compromise.

Congratulations! The sub is the grand staple of Rolex, there is something that every watch fanatic just needs one. Your also a kind soul to have gifted many Rolex to family. Great karma!

OP, I have a question. Put that watch close to your ear and slowly turn the bezel and listen to the clicks. Are there some high pitched pings or is it just zipper clicks.

I can hear the movement ticking and the bezel clicks are sharp and crisp.
