Patek 5167R for Rolex 116619LB
Hello All
I know ultimately it’s down to my preference but I’m having a difficult time deciding what to do and could use some advice. My existing collection comprises of: Patek Philippe 5168G Patek Philippe 5167R Patek Philippe 5167A Rolex 116610LV Rolex 116500LN Rolex 16610 Jaeger LeCoultre Hometime I love wearing the 5167R but having three Aquanauts means it’s worn less frequently. I’ve already got two Submariners although the dial colours are different. I’m considering flipping the 5167R for a Rolex 116619LB plus £2500 cash. Do you think this would be a good deal financially? Would the blue dialled white gold Submariner be a good addition to my existing collection? I appreciate your comments. |

I’m no expert but the 116619 is a gorgeous watch. You have a great collection but that added blue would be really nice

I personally like the WG Sub, but I also gravitate towards white metals. I'd skip on the 5167R though since you're Aquanaut heavy as ap1 mentioned. Plus the Sub would give you a PM Rolex which you don't have yet.

I'd get the 5164a and also the WG Blue Sub and sell the last two.

Personally, I'd rather trade it for a 5711 if you want something a little different (doesn't look like you have a white dial yet) or even an AP RO.
I have a 5065 and 16570, so enjoy both PP and Rolex watches very much. However I think Rolexes make great everyday watches, while each and every Patek is something very special, so I'd only trade one for another (or perhaps Lange, AP, etc.). I'm also not a fan of spending $$ for thick precious metal bracelets, particularly in white gold (similar color to steel, but far more expensive and softer). To me, too much of that trade is exchanging an artisan movement for a hunk of gold. |

I wouldn't do it! Instead trade up for a 5711R!
