GMT 16710 'coke' A serial B+P

Hey guys,

I have the opportunity to purchase a late A serial 16710 coke with box and papers locally. Seller states it has been serviced. Seems like a lot of stretch in the bracelet, but original i would assume. What do you think about the case condition?

Just wondering, should this serial have SEL and lug holes as shown? And what would you value a set like this at?

Thoughts appreciated,
Ed

(sorry about the image size, wasn't sure how to decrease it!)

The bracelet is correct for the watch. Pricing should factor in the stretch found on the bracelet.

As far as watch goes, there have been several 16710 sets for sale on the forum the past few months. Check the "for sale" section to get an idea where the prices are based on the condition of the watches related to the asking price.

Serial matches papers which is nice to know :)

Also case looks to be in better condition than thought from this angle (y)

The older gmt case is slimmer and comfortable to wear. If the price is reasonable for the complete set, I would recommend to get it.

I second buying the watch and full kit if price is right. Can wear on the watch on a strap while bracelet gets a spa treatment.

What would you think of as a reasonable price? I have seen sets available through this forum and watchrecon from 7500 and upwards , I'm guessing around that figure or under?

There's no spa treatment to remedy the wear on that bracelet, imho. It's toast.

It’s an 18 year old watch that’s been worn!
Buy it and do the same......enjoy it!

I think so too, watch seems like in overall good condition with a fairly good case too. The stretch is as expected for a regularly worn watch that's almost 20 years old.....if you really needed work done you can have it refreshed by the likes of Michael Young. Just do your research and make sure the price is right.

The complete set gmt is around that price and I also noticed some are selling $8k to $9k depending on overall condition.

I’m huge fan of gmt master

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the comments! I went through with the purchase today. Had a great time talking to the original owner and really happy/lucky to pick this piece up from him.
