Thanks so much for the review, instead of day dreaming and wondering....I have this awesome review. Instead of running into a smug salesman who seems annoyed that I'd like to see these seemingly different watches together, I have this review.
Exxxcellent fotos. I think this was by far one of the best reviews I've seen on a subject of interest here. I'm not even considering these watches but loved the comparison and down to earth narrative.
Enjoy those bad boys in health.

The only photos missing would be of normal wrist shots with depth. Can be difficult on ones own wrist though. This perspective is often lacking in most reviews but included it gives the perspective of what the watch can look like on the wrist(sort of the way one really sees the watch), versus the 3D macro shot(which may be necessary for angles highlighting case thickness, or particular details).
Not a complain by any means, just a consideration for watch reviewers.

I hate to chose between those two excellent references, but I so wish they would have made the POC a bit less thick, this is how it looks on my 7 1/4 wrist

I just saw this one. Very cool...

To those who say "why are you going to get this if there is a Sub, etc. etc." ... same as buying gold over steel or whatever ... because one likes the aesthetics of it ... plus, isn't it nice to live vicariously through your watch???

Having worn my DSSD for months now nearly constantly I was intrigued by this thread as I was really interested in getting a PO chrono of the last generation. I was unsure what to think of the new 9300 POC but this thread helped push me into the new watch instead of hunting down a nice example of the previous generation.

I have to say it exceeded my expectations in all categories, from fit and finish to accuracy to wearability. On the rubber strap it is far more comfortable then the DSSD on my wrist despite it's increased height. On the bracelet it's at least as comfortable and maybe moves around a bit less then the DSSD does likely due to the shear heft of the chunky bracelet. I'm wearing it on bracelet today but will likely go back to the rubber strap as it fits me just perfectly so we'll see if my shoulder is sore from carrying this behemoth around all day.

24 hours so far and it's dead on to the second accurate so that is quite nice.

Great comparison! Another point to consider is that regardless of retail price, the PO Chrono can be purchased at almost 1/2 the price of the DSSD...

That was a great write up. Thanks for taking the time to do that. Both watches are amazing. I never realized how thick both of them were until I saw the pics of them on your wrist. Thanks again for taking the time to write up such a good review.

Thanks for the review and the cool pictures.
I have never thought i would read "DSSD" and "formal" in the same sentence, but i guess it is all relative. :)

If Omega updates the POC9300 with the new clasp found on the Speedy MkII and Seamaster 300, it could be a real contender.

As a newly joined member on this forum (very active member on BreitlingSource) I want to say thank you for this review. Both of these watches are on my list for sure. I have tried on the PO and loved it but different from you I found it a bit small for my wrist (7.5in) I own a Breitling Super Avenger and a Breitling for Bentley 6.75 so I do like a larger watche. I felt even at the PO 45.5mm case to be a bit small at least in comparison to what I a used to. The thickness for the size made it look a bit weird on my wrist, at least I thought so. It just sat to high and at a weird angle. I have just recently fallen in love with the DSSD. But at 44mm I am afraid it will look to small as well. I know that size is really in the sweet spot for a lot of people and I am looking to diverify my collection. If you can call it that with only two watches But in comparison shots that you did it seems to lay a bit flatter and seems to wear a bit larger. I actually am planning on trying one on this weekend just for the hell of it as I just purchased my 6.75 a month or so ago and am not quite ready for another purchase at this point. I am pretty sure my wife would divorce me. But it really has intrigued me and after reading this great review I think the PO has been pushed down the list again. Thanks again for the great pictures and review.
