I have the DJII with the silver diamond dial. It is the most beautiful watch. I find it much easier to read than the Rhodium dial. The hands seem to blend into the Rhodium dial, but jump out more from the silver dial.

I was having the same issue, I am going TT with Ivory/diamond dial. Easier to read and can be worn with Gold rings, at work or out "dressed up".. I was torn btwn the TT w/ green romans and the SS with diamonds... so I just put the best of the two together...

Now to find one from a trusted TRF member...hint .. hint... Good luck in your personal choice. Cant go wrong either way.

Hey fatcat, try manually winding it to give it a full power reserve (40 turns). Sounds like nighttime wear may not be enough to keep it wound.

And congrats Sam!! Excellent choice

As this was my first thread, I would like to say, I am glad I did join TRF. I would like to also add that I am super glad I didn't pick the TT green roman. I don't like it anymore, I now feel its dull and not timeless… That; however, is just my opinion.

Cheers!

I was also torn between the same two watches that the OP had in the first post plus the 116334 with blue arabic numbers on white. But, after a couple of trips to AD, I bought the 116333 green romans on gray, two-tone... I am loving it. Cheers for differences in tastes

That IS a nice piece. I was torn on that too..
but diamonds are classic, although may be too "blingy" for some tastes. love em both.. get em all!!. my only issue is the amount of knock-offs out in the wild, but that's a issue for a different thread.

Diamond dial is a good choice, you have made a good decision to choose it.

Are the roman numerals on blue azure dial are made out of white gold? Or its just a plain steel?

The hands and numerals are made of white gold on any (not sure about platinum pieces) Rolex dial.

TT Green Romans. I'm thinking about buying that very same watch. I worry it may be too blingy, but I think it is an absolutely a stunning piece.

I'm not much of a gemstone guy, so the diamond dial doesn't appeal to me.

In the end, get the one that sings to you the most.

Buy whatever makes you smile.
I went with blue dial, white baton markers, smooth bezel.

I was planning on getting a DJ2 with a black face and gold romans. But upon trying on the slate dial with green romans, i was hooked. The AD tried to remain neutral, but he and another employee were pumped about the slate dial, green romans.

I personally would not want a watch with diamonds. My wife enjoys hers. But that is my taste. Horses for courses.
