Agree with consensus of keep BLNR and trade rest... 5712R is sick... OR add more and goto 5980/1R *drool*

For me, not a chance. At least not for this watch.

I am really on the fence! All suggestions are spot on and is making my decision very tough. I might be doing the "Pause" method that was suggested by racerdj.
I am falling in love with the Nautilus and the 5712r and 5980 are on the top of the list!!! I hope I can make a move soon, this in-between stage right before a purchase is made or a decision not to purchase, really sucks! |

Good advice to pause for a few weeks to let the decision settle in. I've found that this helps me decide if I really want the watch. Funny thing is, each time I did this, I eventually ended up getting the watch. Sent from my 16M |

At first I said no. But then I realized that if it is a rare piece that's calling your name, then do it. Heck I'm still debating to liquidate a few watches for a DD. If it is the one watch that you want go for it. They others can easily be acquired later on if you change your mind.

Think of a Tiffany dial like the scuderia shield: it's more desirable with, people are willing to pay a premium and the history is built of a few special but now is branded on other references.

I much prefer having fewer watch options available to me. I tend to gravitate towards one piece, so I recently culled my watches from four down into one. Haven't looked back and am happier to have my special piece. Makes managing services, trades and sales a heck of a lot easier. Also helps I'm a tad older now and am moving up the chain in terms of watch brands.
If you can make it by with only one watch, a great watch btw, then by all means go for it. Nothing worse than havin watches sitting in your drawer. |

Its a tough call. If you could swing two for one it may be the better bet.
Otherwise I know what its like...I traded many for one last year. An AP ROO Alinghi Dual Time, a PP 5059J, an AP RO Perpetual Calendar, and a Gold Bronze GMT II PLUS cash for a NIB 5970J. I have not regretted that trade at all. Good luck & Happy New Year! |
