Walk in and walk out with surprise

Just went to my AD and left with this:

P.S. He sold me Daytona with one condition - had to buy bracelet for my wife for $4.5K

Congrats. Seems to be cheaper than gray market prices. Plus you're wife now has something nice.

Welcome to Daytona Nation. It's a fantastic timepiece, and you got the right color too.

I will take that deal any day of the week. Congrats to you and your wife. A free bracelet basically since you got the nice watch at retail

congrats! you got a better deal than if you would have had to buy grey. It amazes me though that most everywhere you walk in it's a "20 year" wait list at the same time multiple members walk in and walk out with one of these references.

You're keeping the dealer in business and you had to buy an additional bracelet to buy something in the first instance...? It's a crazy world!

Congratulations on your watch.

I disagree with these tactics but it's better than buying grey. At least this way the extra money that you had to spend will bring pleasure to a loved one which is priceless really. Enjoy,

That is a win-win in my books, one for you and one for her!! (Although I don't agree with the tactic, but if you were thinking of what to get the wife for Christmas then this worked out perfectly)

Congrats! I’d rather do this than to pay the grey mark up. You pretty much got a free bracelet!

Congrats on the watch! Better than any deal floating on the web.

However, the current business practices are just wrong. Rolex needs to fix this gray-market issue, supply imbalance, or whatever the underlying problems are. The ADs have no inventory to sell (part of reason for bundled deal), and customers have no watches to buy (part of reason for going gray). The vicious cycle repeats. What a strange state of affairs.

Congrats to both of you! As others have said, you're getting more in this deal than any other deal today through greys that would get you Daytona tomorrow.
