hola! finally got expy ll back...
...from service! Bought a pre owned '03 explorer ll black face,lug holes. Got it at a big store at the mall,not sure they're AD,had about 225 both new and used Rolex for sale. 1 yr.warranty(from them). Been a real education....after 2 weeks,noticed hour hand always behind the hour,set it fine...slack in the gears and falls behind. Was annoying. After research took it to a real "watchmaker"just to have looked at.Watch had never been serviced,but someone had the back off to attempt who knows what? Amplitude was very low,needed an overhaul and some news parts no doubt(watchmaker uses only rolex parts). Was advised to always within first 3 days to have your watch checked by an independant watchmaker in case something may not be right with your watch.$742.00 and 7 weekd later I've finally got my expy ll on my wrist. Looks better than new,and runs perfect. Questions: Shouldn'tve the big store told me that by the way this piece will need an overhaul immediately,take a couple hundred off sale price? Isn't a big store like that kind've obligated to sell watches ready to go then and there. I was'nt informed you have a few days to have it checked by a watchmaker to make sure it's tip top. What an education I just have had. Going to go back to the store and see if they'll kick back all or a portion of the repair bill. Love my watch though,will try and post a picture of my explorer,because the watchmalker did an outstanding job. Apologies if this post goes on too long. Thanks! Marco!
