Zenith Will Have A New Ceo

Jean Claude Biver replaces Zenith Ceo Aldo Magda. I thought I have to share this breaking news with you as Zenith is my 2nd favorite brand after Rolex.
Jean Claude Biver is a tremendous guy and genius when you consider what he has achieved thru the brands that he has been appointed to.
Zenith has been doing fine enriching its collection with great timepieces of which one is featuring fusee and chain too.
Zenith also collaborated with renowned manufacturer Land Rover to incorporate the famous brand Range Rover on its dial too.
Kinda surprising to me

Interesting. My grandfather worked for the Zenith electronics company as an attorney and I believe directed the purchase of the watch company for the IP.

Would you mind elaborating or pointing me to info on the Range Rover connection... I'd like to highlight it in my Range Rover Book if applicable.

Jean Claude Biver is a legend in the watch world. From Omega, Blancpain, Hublot, Tag, he has done amazing stuff.

For those that haven't seen it, I strongly recommend the Hoodinke "talking watches" episode with him (amazing collection of Pateks):

I'm sure there will be some 44mm watches that look kinda/sorta/maybe like a AP ROO.

JCB will ruin the brand with shitty limited edition releases, sponsorship-deals with sports teams, overuse of various materials, etc, etc, etc. I'm sure the brand will be more profitable in the short run.

That boat has sailed, there already are Rolling Stones and Cohiba co-branding going on, probably many others as well. Not to mention they have branded non-chronographs as "El-Primero". They made really nice pocket watches once upon a time though. I actually strolled passed a Zenith watch display today and I can't see anything remotely exciting today.

Spot on! The "Defy" model is in another league now. Reminds me of a the openworked AP that cost 10x more...
