5164 and 5167 strap comparison
So I recently realized I’m in possession of straps for both models and thought it might be interesting to point out the differences why the 67 strap works on the 64 but not the other way around.
It has to do with the thickness: the 67 strap is thinner and therefore fits the 64 case (although you can see about 1,5 mm more of the case of the 64 when it’s mounted. The 64 is simply too thick for the case of the 67 and won’t make a proper fit with the prongs. I haven’t mounted them ( as it’s a pita todo so) but I took a few pics to show the differences: Hope that helps! |

Speaks to the thickness and the weight of the 5164. Would mounting the thinner strap put the ‘4 in danger, or is it only aesthetics?

Yes, when I had a blue strap for the 64 it would not fit on the 67 as many people had wanted.

Thank you for sleuthing this out.
What tool do you use to change straps? I can’t figure out what I should be using to avoid scratches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Great info OP. I would have guessed as much due to the case thickness.
