Fake or real??

Is there a way to recognize a Panerai with the ETA machine if it is false or real?
Those ETA machines can be bought and those that make replicas copy the rest ..

The movements aren't off-the-shelf.

Thanks for your comment but could you explain me better how are sold the ETA movements? Thank you.

Panerai purchases top-grade ETA movement and modifies them for insertion in the case. Good fakes will try to cover some of the more obvious changes, like including the brand name. If you see a totally raw ETA movement (unlikely), you definitely know there's a problem.

I believe the Panerai 318 came with an "unfinished" ETA movement. I seem to recall a number of threads about this on Paneristi a few years back. I could be mistaken though
