Imajica by Clive Barker but stopped halfway through. I think that's only the second time in 50 years that I've lost patience with a book and given up. The other was by Patricia Cornwell.

Now on Stephen King's Needful Things

I’m reading a book from a famous Italian psychiatrist about the new smartphone/social networks craze taking over. To make a long story short we are soon going to be a bunch of retarded.

So far so good

Edit: whoops, thought you quoted my book post about into Africa.

Astrophysics for people in a hurry was quite interesting, nothing game changing if you've read a book by Neal Degrasse tyson before but still informative and funny. The title fits the book perfectly.

The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt. There is a lot that I disagree with about Roosevelt’s politics and attitudes(although it is difficult to square the early 21th century world with the late 19th century generally accepted beliefs), the man was a pretty remarkable human being and an inspiration in many ways.

Great novel, all is right in the world with some bread and tobacco tucked away in your mattress...classic read.

Right now I'm reading, "The History of the Peloponnesian War", by Thucydides.

"This is Sparta!!!!!".....some great classical history.

Second book in the Sword of Truth series, a slow start but ultimately better than the first. I am not normally a fan of fantasy type novels.

Very much agree Paul... I have read all of the series and just finished this one, but not their best.
Pendergast, Constance, and Proctor, for years, has been one of my favorite characters.

Hey Tom I think my favorite(s) are: “Cabinet of curiosities” and “Still life with Crows.” “Crimson Shore” was pretty good, “Two Graves” also, but the last two have been kind of - Meh. I am interested to see what happens with Constance Green returning Riverside Drive, si I’ll be buying the next one as soon as it’s out!
