Watch Storage - Any Custom Watch Boxes out there?

Starting to amass a decent collection and have noticed most of the watch storage cases are pretty generic (cheap leather, plastic, pretty uninspiring and cliche designs worthy of corny wedding gifts)

Anyone go the custom watch box route or find a store that carries interesting ones?

Show your boxes too!

I made my own. I do woodworking as a hobby. I also do photography as a hobby. You'd think then, that I'd have a picture of it.

Doh!

My Buddy made me this one. He does custom work and has a website. If you want his info, PM and I will give it to you.

I really need to take some good pics of this, as these pics are poor.

I snapped some quick pics last night of the case I made out of oak.

Yes, I need more watches!

Probably not what you're looking for, but I made a 15 watch case using a large Pelican laptop case. I wanted something low-key that is lockable and holds the watches securely that I can pull in and out of a safe, and it works great. I think it was around $200 for the case, and it took me an hour to pluck out the interior (the harder part was mapping the layout). Here's a pic. I've since added black leather watch pillows I bought on eBay. It's not much to look at but I don't think I can find anything as durable and I like the fact that it doesn't look like something that you'd keep a bunch of expensive watches in.

PM me if you want the details of the case type and layout pattern.

That's a very nice case - I wish I had those woodworking skills. I have to say, as I scrolled and saw only the first picture it looked as if it was a wall mounted case (like a medicine chest). My first thought was "Damn that's some strange wallpaper". A few seconds later I caught myself and could appreciate the case.

Let's revive this thread...

A fellow TRF member posted a pic not too long ago, and his collection was nicely stored in one of these boxes. He mentioned his wife got him the box on Etsy; so I took it upon myself to find that person...and I did find him! Amazing quality. It takes a little while to get it, but I am assuming that it is because it was hand made...hope you enjoy the pics as much as I am enjoying this box! BTW, AMR are my initials (Nice touch) Thanks!
