HYYDF still halted, eh? Do we think the financing deal closing at the end of the month will help the stock price?

Trading now. Short-term it puts pressure on stock due to dilution, but intermediate term it is positive because cash in the bank means investment in increased production and value creating acquisitions. Hydropothecary will have its day in the sun soon enough. Looking to pretty much double my 6 figure share position on the next good dip...IF/WHEN...it ever happens again.

Good evening folks, I do hope someone can offer some advice. I am fairly new to investing, I have a few funds and small equities on my books and I am looking to invest in Aphria after reading this thread and also doing my own research online. Although when looking to invest I notice the shares are sold in CAD. I just wanted to ask those who invest in these companies from outside of Canada what would the potential drawbacks of doing this from the U.K be, if there are any at all.

I won’t be pumping in the same amount as some of the members here but as a potential growth stock I know something is better than nothing and it would be something I am comfortable with just to see where this goes and then beyond.

Forgive my unintentional ignorance, as mentioned I am new to this.

I don’t think that there are any drawbacks but someone better versed than me may see one.

If I was going to invest in just one cannabis stock it would be Aphria.

Best of luck to you sir.

We can buy these in the US but the trade under different symbols than in Canada. I like the industry as a whole but didn’t feel there was enough market coverage to pick one company over others when I bought in in mid December, so I spread it across 4 of the larger companies - Canopy Growth, Aurora Cannabis, Medreleaf, and Aphria.

HYYDF is starting to move north today.
Tried to pick up a little more of it last week. Should have tried harder.

I was waiting for some kind of sell off of HYYDF but it continued to go higher and actually hit it's 52 week high.

Cash on hand in the account for some profit taking .......... maybe tomorrow I can build my position on HYYDF and a few others that either hit its high or are very close to it.

I wouldn't trim any hydro just yet. Wait for the Quebec MOU before letting any go if at all.

EMH, MJN and TBP all had huge days today. I hope it continues tomorrow. Wednesdays seem to be the dip days of late.

While we're all waiting for significant developments...
Anyone have some other Cannabis companies they like?

Right now I'm in and tracking:
Canopy(TWMJF), Aprhia(APHQF), Hydropothecary (HYYDF), Canntrust (CNTTF), Libertry Health Sciences (LHSIF)

check my post here: https://www.rolexforums.com/showpost...&postcount=125

you would have made huge gains had you put $ into some of these guys back when i made that post.

EMH is now a 6-bagger for me.

yes i saw your previous post. I didn't have money free back then.
Now I'm slowly moving funds from other places.

Would you say EMH and FIRE are your faves - i can start watching them for dips to get in?

FIRE is very frustrating to own. I'm way up on it and it is certainly better than non-weed stocks, but relative to other weed stocks i would not be too bullish on it. not because it isnt a great company but because it just doesnt move like any of the others.

mind you, it could break out any time too.

also, these arent necessarily my favs, i sold APH and WEED at previous highs but they kept running and i never got back in. there is money to be made all over the sector for a while to come.

Looks like my CanniMed position just paid off big time. Aurora acquiring CanniMed at a 181% premium. It's Miller time.

Good day to pick up more Aphria.... why such dip? Looking for news, can’t find any.

Seems Canopy and Aurora are having a similar dip today. Aurora is buying CanniMed at a premium, but other than that no news that would indicate a dip for the 3. Probably just general market fluctuations for the industry.

I wonder if someone else will pick up NewStrike. They're down significantly today.

its still too high. these guys should be sub $1 cdn imho.

lots of room left to fall for them.

as for APH it is general consolidation. I'm still well up for the week without any notable catalysts so that's good.

need the 2 new ETF's to start accumulating inside the next couple weeks to drive more gains.

also, the big MOU's could be announced from the provinces really any time.

Anyway, if they are currently considered Ag I would be concerned about that designation holding once recreational comes into play and these businesses try to scale. Most Provinces are broke and they will not leave that much money on the table. Perhaps a future concern but not make or break for well run companies.

For US exposure to this industry in a non-speculative way would be SMG, but that won't give you the wild price swings that the Canuck stocks are currently providing.

"Because the unrealized value of the plants is factored into gross profit, a company that's adding plants faster than it's selling inventory – which is almost every producer in the fast-growing industry – can end up reporting gross margins of more than 100 per cent. In theory, non-cash income could even be reported without selling a single gram of pot.

"We all recognize that the statements as they are are not very helpful to anyone," said Tim Saunders, chief financial officer at Canopy.

Does anyone have any opinion on Veritas Pharma? During my research it appears there are several reports out there that they will require a producers license soon.

i have about 10,000 shares of VRT.

waiting for their cultivation license but it's just for a small facility. they are 15% owned by Marapharm out of the US. They already have a dealer's license which is slightly different than a sales license for some reason.

they also have a patent application filed with the FDA and are in human trials in Puerto Rico as well. I think these guys are a easy double or triple when the market starts to look toward more pure pharma plays. I would also expect a more serious acquisition offer than Marapharm at some point since their current market cap is so low.

A buddy in Canada told me about Sunniva Inc. on Monday SNNVF OTC
It’s up about 30% since then. Any of the more knowledgeable members know anything about it?

That’s awesome Rick! Congratulations!

Are you going to keep the Aurora shares? Let’s hope Aurora does well too.

Thanks I'll cash out up to my original stake in CanniMed and leave the rest in Aurora stock. Playing with house money at that point. Cash will likely end up somewhere in this market. Just not sure where yet.:s mokin:
