UPDATE- would you be bothered by this?

So after having my car for 4 days, the GM called me this morning and said they located another car with the exact same colors and specs about two hours away and were going to get it and swap them out. They called at 3 today and said my non leaning GC was here and ready. I darted over, swapped out my goodies from one to the other, signed a few papers, said thanks for doing the right thing, and took off in my new baby. As far as what was the cause, I never got a straight answer and honestly don't care. Glad it was a happy ending.....

Happy ending indeed. Congrats. I wouldn’t have bet they would give you a replacement. Maybe your first one had some undisclosed damage. Who cares, you won.

I’d bet money it was damaged in transit or on the lot. They covered their ass. They did the right thing by replacing it.

That was my guess. Mine has it and now I will have to measure it when I get home tomorrow.

Wow! It must have been pretty major for them to replace the entire car!

Wow. I’m impressed.

That apparently creates a ton of paperwork for them. DMV issues galore.

Good for them doing the right thing.

I am glad that they replaced it. For me, it signals a more significant issue with the first GC that should have possibly been revealed before purchase. They did not do it because they are great people, they did it because of the exposure for what ever the issue was. It was business and the replacement was the best option.

I thought the same thing but lucky for them that they had not turned the registration ap into the DMV. They just had to notify my bank to do a "change of VIN". Seemed fairly easy.....

Hey Rick that great News! I forgot what I said in your previous thread but I’m sure it was instrumental in getting your NEW Car...

Agreed. Must have been pretty major for them to do this. I've had such bad experiences with American car dealerships that I refuse to ever consider buying one.

Excellent service on the part of this dealer. Wonder who it was. I'd still like to know what caused the issue.
