Funny you say $50s. Maybe it's me but they always seems sort of fake and people always look at them funny when you present them. It's like a 2 dollar bill. I don't think I ever carry them, or I spend them first.

Never mind, it's probably just me.

I actually stole this idea from GB Man. Sometimes I have the same at the end of the week. I like 50s because everyone takes them. 100s get denied sometimes. The ATM by the house spits out 50s for some reason. I don’t like to carry much in my pockets so the 6 bills is pretty economical in size.

On the most days, I'll have less than $10 cash.

Occasionally....

Usually none, unless I get change back from a return or something... then I play a game to see how long that cash will last. Inevitably I spend it on something that requires cash - parking, tips, etc.. My last wad of cash was shy of a few hundred dollars, I can't remember what from... but I blew it all at a vinyl record show and poof it was gone.

If some one was to put all of these types of threads together, it's like a mugger or thieves hand book.
How much cash do you carry?
Where do you store your watches?
What kind of safe do you use?

Several hundred because adults carry cash. I've been out with friends who didn't carry cash and had to spot them because the location accepted cash only or their card reader was down etc.. I told them never to go out with me again if they don't have cash on them. Paying for a pack of gum with a card is ridiculous. Your mileage may vary.

Have to agree with this. It’s annoying when my friends don’t have cash and it’s needed.

There’s an algorithm working on it as we speak.

My great great grandfather paid $3,356 for a farm in gold. Deed record.

In 1884 no one trusted paper money.

When I was a young teenager, my father and I stopped at a small restaurant to eat. There was a young man there with his girlfriend and the girlfriends mother. You could tell, that he was trying to impress the mother. When the bill came, he insisted on paying the bill and whipped out his credit card for the $25 meal. And I just remember thinking, "You're trying to impress someone and you don't have enough cash to pay for a $25 meal?"

So, yes I agree. "Adults carry cash."

I generally carry $500-1000.
Reason 2. Never know when you are going to run into a vintage Seamaster.

Not as ridiculous as paying with a grubby banknote and getting a handful of sweaty, dirty coins for change. I can just wave my card (Visa or stored value travel card) over the machine at the counter and the gum is paid for in a split second.

Agree 100%.
And most shops would prefer you paid by card these days anyway so when that grubby banknote comes out for the chewing gum they're probably groaning inside.

I ask for new money when I go to my bank. Most banks will keep a few straps of new currency on deck for people who use cash often it never hurts to ask and they can always order up exactly what I need if u call ahead. What would be real hilarious if we were both in New York and the power went out, my grubby bank notes would be stuffing my face with slices of pie n drinks and you’re gonna be outside sitting lonely on the sidewalk waving your card while we eat all the food u can’t pay for because u got no cash playa.

How much cash do you carry?

I can’t recall which “famous” CEO insisted that his management team carry sufficient cash such that the company would not be embarrassed to hear that one of its execs was robbed, but found to be empty-handed.

I usually have a couple of hundred on me. “Here, take it, just don’t hurt me. Take the watch too, if you please.”

Here's a useful tip, don't set off my Spidey senses if you've been banned three times before. Enjoy your cold pizza and warm beer

that's because so many young people are too stupid to be able to make change without a computer / machine telling them !!
