Broken already? :(

I've noticed yesterday when I wanted to wind my watch that there was an increase in resistance.
Left it to consume it's energy and tried it again.
1. When I unscrew the crown I can already hear some clicks. Is this normal?
2. After unscrewing, when crown pops out there is significant resistance when turning clock wise to wind. Clicking sound seems normal.
3. If I turn anti clock wise I can hear the same cadence of clicks that I hear when unscrewing.
4. I also noticed one case of wanting to pull the crown in 3rd position (hacking the second) and it refused to comply. Had to put it back into 1st and then retried it.
My watch is a brand new 126710BLRO that I got in August and has less than 10 wears.

Can I try something else, or send it directly to RSC?

Pretty disappointed right now... ☹

Take it to an ad and ask for help. That's what the warranty is for, don't stress too much my friend.

When you left it, did you wait till it was not longer running? The new movement has up to 70hrs of run time so nearly three days. The symptoms you are describing sound like winding a wound watch. I would let it sit till its not running then see how it feels. as far as the stem popping out and the 3rd click i have had random things like that happen that i do not believe is an issue. Taking it to AD is not a bad idea but they will likely just offer to send it to RSC which may not be needed on a brand new watch

That actually sounds normal! I experienced the same thing with my CHNR the first few months of wearing then found it to be quite normal. Wear it more and take time to get used to it.

Everything sounds like SOP with a Rolex automatic. Did you get a full box set with a user manual? What are you disappointed about?

I will leave it to completely die out before trying again.
But clicking sound on unscrewing the crown is something normal?

Do you wind your watch often? If so, why?

I don’t think so.

Take it into the AD and see what they think.

I just tried it and my watch has a faint click with my ear very close and unscrewing the crown as well when i turn counter clockwise. So i would say yes it is normal but start enjoying your watch instead of stressing. I was OCD with mine at first but you can rest on the fact that you have an extremely tough watch with a warranty behind it for what is it now 5 years or something. Let it wind down all the way wind it up and feel that it is still buttery smooth and then set it and forget it. Enjoy, it is an incredible watch.

1. None of mine do that.
2. Different movements have different amounts of “resistance.”
3. None of mine do that.
4. All of mine do that.

Don't wear it daily, maybe once in a week. It's not my only watch.
Then I need to set the time and date and give it a few (less than 10) winds to get it started.

Curious what others day, I just set the time and shake my wrist around and roll with it....I don't think I ever wind them

It sounds like OCD, not a broken watch.

Relax and wear it.

Manual states wind the watch when it has not been used for a while, 25 turns to allow the watch to work properly. At least those are the instructions for my DJ.

I'll report back in two days when it should be completely without power.
Until then when comparing with other watches I have at home it goes like this:
ETA 2824 top grade feels ok, nothing special, nothing wrong.
Sellita SW-300 feels smoother than the ETA, more refined, maybe because it's a clone of the better 2892.
First impression when I got the BLRO was that it's on a different league.
Now it's opposite to buttery smooth, with more resistance than the ETA, feels just wrong.

Different automatic system, different winding mechanism and it has a triplock, which are quite a few gaskets in the tube/crown. This all can seem like there is more 'resistance' then you'd have with the other watches you've described.

Stop worrying.

This. I thought my Sub felt “gritty” when I first wound it. It’s just the gaskets.

DJ41 also clicks when you unwind.

Your watch has the new 32XX movement. It seems to wind differently than the 31XX movement. I have a DJ41 with the new movement and it feels very different than my older GMT and Exp I. The 31XX movement is pretty smooth and pretty quiet. The 32XX feels gritty and almost like it is skipping teeth when I wind it. I just think it is the difference in how the new movement is made.

After this thread I'm glad I don't have the new movement. Plus 72 hour reserve means nothing to me.

Have to agree Bas but many today over exaggerate thinking they have a problem, when in most cases the only problem is there own OCD.

mine does this as well, as does my wife's and hers is a 31mm, my F sub does not do it....not sure if it is something new, only happens in a few pieces or what but you're not alone with this one

I am OCD-ish in general, but I don't think it was the case here.
The clicking sound is still there when I turn the crown backwards, and the resistance when turning to power up the watch was quite high.
However I've let the watch to die down.
It took a very long time... I knew it has 70 hours of PR, but damn! I didn't expect it to be fully wound after a couple of hours of wear and one night of rest.
I tried to wind it after it completely stopped and it felt smoother.

Turning the crown backwards does absolutely nothing so no reason to even do it. The clicking sound is normal. There is nothing wrong with your watch. Learn to deal with it's little quirks and nuances with the crown. It is a mechanical watch.
