42mm Sub. 40 discontinued. Would be a sad day but it wouldn’t surprise me.

SD at 43mm is the bigger sub. No way they put out a 42mm sub with a 43mm SD in the catalogue

I’d really like to see an SS Daydate just to see the pandemonium that ensues......

Something that blurs the line between sport and dress similar as the Sky D. Perhaps another TOG

Milgauss, Sub, Explorer II, Explorer are the only ones left to update so it will be one or two of those for the next two years. Shouldn’t be much suspense really.

I predict that whatever is released at Basel 2020 we will not see in AD stores until Basel 2025.

That's if they don't discontinue the Sea Dweller. Rolex will announce the end of dive watches production as they no longer make "tool" watches and are focusing on jewelry going forward.

Rolex are avid listeners to the Rolex fanboys on the Forums, just look what came out this year. They got rid of the Oyster bracelet on the SS GMT (as everybody hates it!) They brought out a 42mm gold Yacht-Master on a rubber strap (which all the Rolex fans were just gaging for!) and then the icing on the cake for the fans, a TT Sea-Dweller (that got them dancing in the streets!) So judging by these previous new offerings, for next year it's a no brainier. There is no doubt that they will keep the thick lugs as a permanent feature of the Sub & GMT sports models, and they will roll out a rose gold TT Submariner with a new movement!

The only reliable prediction is that you can't buy them.

Combo sub and gmt

I predict that the big R will make my dreams come true and solve my two watch problem by elegantly combining the all black GMT with the subc with no date. It will have a case thickness in between the current models, triplock crown water tight down to 500 feet where I'll never be. On top of all of that they'll gift me one for my great idea.

If you can't buy them, Rolex 2020 will be as worthless as Rolex 2019. Buy an Omega. The movements since the 8900 are superior.

That thing would FLY and I'd be right at the front of the queue. BLNR doesn't quite do it for me with the blue - but a Coke all day every day. I'd probably say no to a Jubilee though and go 5 digit if that happened.

This reminded of the time when my friends and I when were kids discussing what Ferrari was coming out knowing too well that we never had chance to even saw one in real life, it was fun BS'ing regardless. Keep it up and keep the dream alive gents.

Went to an event at the AD last night. Talking to their main Rolex guy, we discussed why the supply of sports watches is so slow or non existent. He said Rolex has never changed the way they do business. US is still a huge market and yet they have consistently closed dealers again this year. Then, sometime this past summer, they closed production for a month while changing over the lines for either a newer movement or an all new movement (that wasn’t clear to me). So in the face of millions of US and global sales but tight supply, they shut down manufacturing for a month?! Unbelievable.

This I think is possible. Might also be why we have such a shortage of the current models.
