JC DSSD 126660 running slow (18 seconds / day)->Just dropped off at AD
I'm freaking out.
Got my watch just over a year ago, noticed it required adjusting every 2 weeks. My wife's rolex didn't (we bought at the same time). So I downloaded Watch Tracker app, measured for 7 days, found it to be slow by 18 seconds / day. I hesitated about getting it fixed, I figured I just live with it. My wife saw it as jewelry. She's a gangsta, just wear it and forget it. She told me to just leave it. But I didn't want to mentally add 5 min 2 weeks after readjusting time. Took the leap and dropped off the 126660 @ Fourtane (AD in Carmel, CA). Great AD. I was treated well. They wrapped it up and sent it out to Lititz, PA. She said they stop sending to Dallas and stood by Lititz. I came back to this forum and found that some had great experiences some had scratches. The lady at the AD said they were a training facility but had the true "watchmasters" there. The lady also asked if I would allow the facility to wear and "test" the watch. She said they wore gloves and would be very careful. I hesitated. But said ok. I'm losing sleep over this. Should I call them and say I don't want them to wear it or should I go all out and ask them to ship it back and say: "Don't touch it! I'll accept my DSSD as is and nickname the thing 18 seconds." I'm not a rocket scientist. I don't need the accuracy. Besides, it will be a truly unique rolex...a non COSC DSSD. But at the same time, I got major FOMO because everyone was losing 6 seconds max per day and some have even better accuracy. Thoughts? |

I sent mine to Drsc for running slow and it came back broke within a couple hours. Had to send it back the next day and still waiting for it to come back. It’s going on 3 weeks so i should get it back by next week.
I hope they get it right the 2nd time around. |

Way back I had a DS with timing issues my AD sent to NY, NY sent it to Pa because at that time I think they had the tester to take it down to 3900 meters. But any way, came back with some kind of plastic rap showing out of the SS rink that screws the Ti back to the case. First it was sloppy since I could the shit plus I found out at the factory at that time Rolex put no sealer between the ring and Ti back . I traded it it for a new subc big mistke hated the look.

So they do pressure test it before sending it back. That’s good to know

RSC re-regulated an in-warranty Sub with great results. Would not worry, it's Rolex service and agree 18/sec a day is waaaay too much even for COSC. Added benefit, you'll get a nice green storage pouch
