Tourneau SF

Has anyone shopped at Tourneau San Francisco? Was there last week at the new store. Looking for a datejust for the wife and while she found one she liked I asked about a blnr or pepsi and was told that I would get the first one that came in if I bought the datejust. What do you guys think?

First one that comes in after buying a date just sounds too easy. I would suggest a two watch deal. Ask them to call me when both are in the store and get them at the same time. Or try to get it in writing which may not be possible, because they will say we don't know when we will get one, that's the hardest watch to get, I only saw one this whole year, they can't be ordered, etc.

Wouldn't make a difference as you can never say when the first one arrived...

- "oh yes...nothing came through!"

Get in writing that you'll get one within a specific period of time, that would be better...

I wish there was a better way to phrase this, but here goes...

This Tourneau rep’s lips were moving as the promise was made?

I was in the same situation the other day at an AD with a jewelry purchase and I told the AD if that’s the game then I won’t buy anything until they produce the watch. I walked out with the jewelry and someone else’s BLRO an hour later. They use the term “the next one that comes in” loosely.

If you want to get the DJ anyway then why not try. It's not like they are pushing a watch you don't want.

I've gone in there many times and expressed interest in a number of in-stock pieces they've had. I was never told at any point that I would get priority on any of the SS models if I made a purchase. The only consistent answer I've gotten in regard to the popular models is "you need to build a relationship with us...".

So did you ask her on a date?

If you're looking to buy a DJ seems like you don't really have anything to lose. If you want to go the AD route vs pre owned it grey market.

Take it with a grain of salt. If you do end up getting the call - great. Just keep in mind you might not. Go in with the right expectations

Hold! Tell them you will buy it WHEN the blnr or pepsi become available and you will pick up both watches at the same time. They can tell you anything they like, and they can write down anything they feel like. You just don't have any power to hold them to it once you have laid down the cash for that dj.

Remember the golden rule. He who has the gold makes the rules. Don't just hand the gold over for a vague promise.

Cash is king. No deal until they have both in stock for you and call you to pick them up.

This, you want two boxes on the table or no dice.
