I don’t own an AP because I’m not that drawn to the aesthetic. I do own a Daytona, though my preference is not the white dial. But for the purposes of these two watches and specifically these two photos, the AP appears a more pleasing watch on your wrist. It might be a tougher decision if the Daytona had a black dial, but I have a feeling the AP would still have the edge.

I prefer cleaner dials, so AP it is for me. The Daytona does look great though

Daytona!

I don't agree that it looks small on you. I thinks it fits perfectly and has Ideal, classic proportions.

Also, I'd go Patek over the AP if thats the style you prefer

AP for sure. I am lucky to have both but feel like I reach for the Daytona a lot more. I swapped the bracelet on the Daytona for a RubberB strap which makes me want to wear it more. AP is definitely dressier. This blue dial is stunning! Having said that - I just got the yellow gold green dial Daytona and damn that one to me is just plain brilliant!

Last pics ,AP and no light and both together, you can see the size difference when next to each other(sorry for the poor lighting)

I don’t like the AP. Hands are too thin and blend in with the dial. I don’t like the case. The bracelet is awesome. Candidly, in my view the Daytona is better daily wear watch.

AP Royal Oak every day of the week. The Daytona is out-classed in every way.

AP. I've had two WG Daytona (one on bracelet and one on leather) and both didn't last long in my watch box. Now I have an AP ROC as my "luxury sports watch" and much prefer it, as does my son!

I still debate whether to trade the AP for something else so perhaps it's not a keeper but it offers something different IMO. Plus... The Daytona wears too small I think.IMG_28042019_081004_(2500_x_2500_pixel).jpgMVIMG_20190829_171821.jpg

I wear based on function due to my job, and so function is usually how I decide. Do you need/use the chrono? Do you need a date function? How about activity level? Daytona will hold up better. If you don’t need the chrono (it’s almost impossible to read anyway) I may go AP in this case especially if you wear your watches like most here and keep it on the sideline for most actual sporting activities and where it may procure a scratch or two.

I have had both (Daytona not ceramic) and out of the 2 I only still have the Daytona. I think it is worlds more comfortable, but actually liked the way the RO looked better. Every time I wore the RO, I just couldn’t make it comfortable on my wrist.

A poll would’ve been fun, but it looks like the AP is running away with this.

First go w/ what you need.

Personally I'd go Daytona. Great look, functionality for everything from smoking ribs to timing basic day to day things. I also feel like you could get it, wear it and if you find you don't care for it, you can sell it, take the money and apply it to the AP. You'd then spend less overall to acquire the AP. I'm not advocating flipping (I despise flippers), but it remains an option.
