Selling some pieces to get AP ?

I am really considering to sell some Rolex (9 are too many) to get one AP royal oak.
I really love the frosted gold one ...
I could sell these 4.
What do you think ?

Which AP? Unless its a 15202or I wouldn't even trade that Daytona for the other Royal Oaks, let alone all 4.

I had the frosted gold piece for one week. I’d really try it on many many times before buying it. Loved it in pictures and hated it on.

I think if the watches shown aren't making you happy anymore then sell or trade them towards your desired AP.

For me the frosted gold pushes things away from horological finishing and into jewellery.

You will find the regular AP bracelet sparkles a lot more than others due to the polished/ brushed contrasts.

A PM 15400 or 15202 would be a great choice I think over the frosted.

Given your collection I would say 100% go for it...BUT

Not really feeling the vibe on the frosted.

With so many other options to choose from with AP you could jump into the brand and sacrifice much less and end up with far more...

I would defintely for a ROC blue dial.

Frosted one i'm not sure about that. The novelty would run out very quick with that piece.

For frosted i wouldnt. Steel blue dial i would

And this may sound crazy but id keep the 16710 and sell the black\blue ceramic. Have ceramic covered with the BLRO and I just feel like the 5 digit references will be even more sought after as years pass. The old dimensions are also perfection

I would sell the DJ,OF Daytona and the BLNR. Replace with SS AP. Then maybe move the TT Sub later on for a Patek Aquanaut.

I really do not care for the frosted gold. You will tire of it quickly. Buy a SS model to start which is rich in the AP tradition of the RO being the ultimate SS watch.

The frosted gold really I think is meant for ladies or rap artists :-) I have seen it in person and its a definite no for me.

Yes , a ss model is probably better.
I am checking what’s available on market now.
I am not an AP expert : how much should be a RO SS ?

I would say sell the dj and bluesy, add some cash and get a ss royal oak either 15400,15202 or royal oak crono ss with blue/silver dial. The Daytona on oysterflex is too beautiful to go and the Pepsi is so iconic and has great appeeciation potential.

The 3 ap models listed above are ranging from 20k to 30k depending on model and if you buy at retail or grey prices.

Good luck and fantastic collection

I own few Royak oak and the RO has no wrist time at all. I still like them and I find myself wear the Rolex the most! Suggest to try the RO before you but it

Not for the frosted, but towards a gold open worked, that's another story.
