New bronzo in 2019?

Recently I have seen few people are selling their bronzo with really good price compared to few months back. I wonder if it is just affected by the Panerai trend or any rumor about new bronzo in upcoming year?

It could be a good time to acquire the bronzo now for people who always willing to get one. Please share your thoughts. Thanks

I would guess this year we’ll see a blue dial bronzo with power reserve.

Funny timing for this post; I have been seriously considering getting a bronzo recently. I can't quite decide if I want to part with something to acquire one though - something has got to go, lol.

I was thinking about trading a bronzo with my AP15400 too (plus some cash). Now may need to reconsider again. By looking at the potential growth might not be a good trade but who knows. If no huge production like 372, current bronzo models are definitely nice to have ones at the affordable price 😁

Bronzo owners/potential owners could play this game every year. If you like it, buy it. It’s just like anything else. Cars, cameras, electronics etc. The latest and greatest may or may not be right around the corner. If you always play the wait and see game you never enjoy.

Like the look, but how does a bronze case generate gold case prices? What i am I missing?

Seems like a real high price for bronze, but assuming there must be some rationale?

Supply and demand drives up the prices...that simple...

By the way, I don’t think it’s a given that OP will issue another bronze watch next year. I think the CEO was saying that OP is using submersibles ronexoeriment with materials, like the bronze. But, it’s a matter of interpretation. It of course wouldn’t be shocking if the did a blue dial power reserve.

I have a 382. I love it and it's my favorite watch. I have no plans of selling it, ever.

I guess if spending 25k is chump change......sure go ahead buy a Bronzo.

Or you can talk to a dealer and see if they can get you one for retail.

Up to you

Glad you caught my interview of JMP. I heard that too and a lot of people mentioned it.

In the same take though he was talking about submersibles being the testing ground for new materials while talking about the bronzo and then said you will see a new one this year.

SO it could be that they just might be introducing a new material they designed as opposed to a new bronzo. I don't think the would let something like that slip that easily.

Just my personal opinion.

Agree with Stack, I don't think the CEO was hinting at a new bronzo at all.

I’m not on the list , so I’ll say that the CEO didn’t even “hint” at a new bronzo. He said there would be one. The words are clear and unmistakeable. ;-)

I’ll add that I don’t think he let “a big thing slip” by announcing it.

We all now more bronzos are coming, and for a new CEO, it’s a sure-fire buzz generator that will sell out.

The challenge (and related surprise) will be if the new CEO resists the temptation to release a new one each year or extend it beyond bronze beyond the Submersible line. Him announcing THAT would be a “scoop”, IMHO.

I own one too. It’s a rock star, I love it, but I use it less and less unfortunately. I might sell mine in a few years.

I saw that image of the brown dial/bezel bronzo too. That's really good looking!

My fear, if this becomes reality, is how hard it's going to be to acquire from a boutique.

I get it, he is the CEO of a brand that is pretty much known for kickstarting the large watch craze in 1990s, but whatever model he is wearing at the interview looks so comically huge that it makes me chuckle. Male overcompensating is not something one can build a long-term successful brand:) Not hating, just saying - horses for courses, and if you are not build like Stallone, may be refrain from wearing watches that he wears, just for the sake of good taste and proportions.

Very fine example of “good taste” on a Panerai forum. For what are you overcompensating?
