First Rolex no papers help me authenticate

Hi guys, just bought my first Rolex date just 36mm 2002 model 16223

I bought without paper to lower the price (£5250) as I don’t intend on selling.
Everything look ok?

A new member having issues posting pix?

Possibly a size issue?

You can post resized pix from your iPad or computer even with your first post.

You can’t link pix until your post count qualifies.

10 Posts Before Photos?

I thought you have to make 10 posts before you can add photos. Or NOT, just saw a post with photos from an OP with only 2 posts. Old Rule Maybe?

Anybody can post a photo as long as it meets the file size of the image file; you need 10 reasonable posts to post a url.

Also, papers do not authenticate anything. The papers need to be authenticated too.

Looking forward to some images, but if you bought from a reputable source you likely don't have anything to worry about.

I recently bought a Rolex with “box and papers” advertised as from 2020 from a reputable dealer with top reviews on Chrono24, over 600 reviews, etc., and I thought I had “bought the seller” by buying from them. Well lo and behold, the warranty card that came with the watch looked too beat up and scratched for being barely a year old. It’s as if the original owner had carried the card in his pocket or something everyday subjecting it to major wear and tear. Upon closer inspection, it was evident that the serial/model number on card were somehow typed in over where the original info had been originally printed. Apparently, someone had managed to erase the original numbers on card because you could still barely see the outline of some of the original numbers!

Moral of the story for me, at least: you can never buy the seller too much.

Care to out the seller to save somebody else from their unscrupulous acts?

Did you send the watch back? I would not keep a watch with basically a void warranty card, unless the seller was willing to greatly discount the watch and after having confirmed authenticity. Who knows what could be wrong with the watch given the papers were altered.
