New old stock submariner
A quick question with the pre 2020 40 mm Sub now replaced with the 41mm being actively sold...
Are there any NOS 40mm submariners out there at AD's or would they have all been sold ? |

Probably quite a few, demand was pretty low.

My AD offered me one last week at 8% discount, they're having hard times trying to get rid of them

I just purchased a 40mm Sub. You aren't going to find them new at ADs, but you can still find some excellent examples from secondhand sellers that are still under warranty and not for quite as crazy price hikes as say the GMTs or the 41mm Subs. You can also sometimes find them used at ADs, although I've observed the price tends to be high and they often go very quickly.

I picked mine up at a grey a few months ago in like new condition. I had to have the last of the 40mm sub, which to me is the “correct” way. I also didn’t like the bigger bracelet/clasp. People say it’s similar proportionally to the 11 series, but that’s because everything grew. Not calling it trash, but it’s not for me.

I've never heard anyone say the 11 and 12 are proportionally similar. If anything, the proportions are what changed significantly, much more so than the actual size. Most would say the 12 goes back toward pre ceramic models as far as proportion. I did see a new 11 on Ebay for under foing price for a 12 but didn't dig into it to see if the seller was legit...I have the 12 series in no date. People are going to ask stupid prices for them and for NOS it will continue to get even more stupid...mainly because people will pay it. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk |

I would think that there are a few around but getting one is going to be costly and difficult. Why not just go with a slightly preowned model that is complete? Good luck.
