Your favorite holiday/vacation destinations

We can use this as inspiration for unplanned vacations and holidays.

Where on this great planet is your favorite(s) destinations?

I'll start. 1. Yellowstone/Wyoming/Montana and 2. Mindo, Ecuador, the little town my in-laws are from.

My wife and I met near Yellowstone, we got married just outside the park. We go back every few years. We try to visit Ecuador every year to visit family, plus we have 600 acres of farm and rainforest to explore on each visit. The kids love it too.

Italy. So much to discover in one country and the food ... don't get me started. If you are a foodie, there's no place like it IMHO.

Amalfi Coast and Tuscany are our favourite spots, but there are too many great finds to possibly list here.

We absolutely fell in love with Apalachicola, Fl. So much history, quaint, old Florida that people don’t seem to have discovered yet. Just enough to keep me occupied while she sits on the porch reading.

Save the plane fare and just throw a few slot machine into that beautiful backyard.

I bet you can get that Don Rickles guy pretty cheap. Have heard he'll work for peanuts.....or drinks.

He'll just call you a few names, insult your guests and eventually pass out in the jacuzzi, mumbling something about Rat Pack and Tropicana or Sands and how it ain't like it used to be.

So hard to pick just one and I would have to agree with many of you here on the locations chosen.

I'll say that our visit to Portugal and The Algarve took us by surprise; truly beautiful country that doesn't get enough mention here in the States!

My favourite trips are hiking and adventure types...so probably the Dolomites, Patagonia, and the Alps (in that order).

But for an overall best all around vacation (and one my wife would appreciate too)...Maui is tough to beat! It will definitely be the first place I go when I’m vaccinated and Canadian quarantine rules are relaxed!

In US, NC side of Great Smoky Mountains. Great biking, fishing, rafting, canoeing, camping, hiking etc. So many neat little small towns that each have their own personality. It’s a great place to relax and chill.

Internationally, Chile. An abundance of outdoors activities like above plus the ocean and jungle. The people are absolutely amazing and the country has such a positive vibe to it. I’m tempted to say it sucks so no one else goes.

I’ve been to several amazing places. The one that was the best was Banff, Lake Louise, Moran Lake and the Canadian Rookies. Truly spectacular.
