PAM1351 for a Submersible?

Paneristi and Enablers,

I have a PAM1351 that I like a lot, but after constantly seeing the Submersible (the 682 and 1389s) in these threads have me thinking about getting it. I know that the movement is the same in both along with being in titanium (for the 1389) but I was wondering what you all thought? The 1351 is a tad more dressy in certain situations depending on the strap and the size of the 1389 is pretty large (I have 7" wrists and a Super Avenger as well for a large watch) but I really have always liked the look of the Submersibles...

Haha. I have a submersible,but the 44 mm and want either a 1320 or 1351. I think it's the addiction talking��.

The grass is always greener on the other side...the 1351 is a beautiful watch (especially on the Asso strap) and get be dressed up with a brown croc...it’s much more versatile than the 1389...if you have one PAM, I would keep the 1351. If you have multiple PAMs and you want a submersible, the 1389 is a great PAM...

the sub is a little less versatile but on a leather strap is not a bad watch to wear on a dtd basis.

love mine, wear it with a sport coat and with jeans

As said above, no wrong answer.

I personally love the look of the steel bezel with the 682, but I like the scratch resistance of the 1389.

But, your 1351 is gorgeous and quite versatile.

If you are going to pull the trigger, I actually would consider the predecessor 389 before pulling the trigger in the 1389...it’s obviously a matter of taste but I personally really enjoy the ecru lume on the 389 more and I think it looks much better on leather straps because of the ecru lume...

I like the 1351 and the 1389. I own the 389 and a 422 and really like the 47 mm cases. I wanted a 1389 but my AD could not source one so I found a 389 and could not be more pleased with it. My buddy ended up buying the 1389 after it came in and he will not take it off his wrist. It would be nice to have a two watch collection but I would try to get the 1389 and wear the 47 mm for awhile as after that the 44mm does not work as well. The trade prices on Panerai's are dismal so get ready so I would look for a slightly preowned 1389 or go back to your AD and see if you can work a trade. Good luck on your quest and go get your 1389.

From memory, I don't think any submersibles have "ecru" lume. Don't they all have the green/white lume? (Unless we're talking T series from way back when that has patina now.)

Arguably, the blue hand of the 1,000 series makes those models less versatile, but that's a matter of taste, IMHO.

wasn’t initially sold on the blue second hand but the more I saw it the more it grew on me....personal preference of course ymmv
