Rumor for Basel 2019
I’m pretty good friends with the sales manager at the AD I go to. He said he’s heard chatter about a SS GMT Coke with ceramic bezel on oyster bracelet with pcl’s.
If true, would you rather have that or the current Jubilee Pepsi. |

From folks at Geneva. Additionally, he stated that the shortage of SS has absolutely nothing to do with limiting distribution. Shortage is entirely due to an explosion in demand. Rolex in process of lncreasing staff.

Hard to believe Rolex couldn’t keep up with demand. Pretty sure this was deliberate on their part. Doubtful a Rolex coke comes just a year after the SS Pepsi but sign me up if it does.

I'd be interrested in a Coke true red and black on jubilee, but I fear Rolex cannot make a real red ceramic. The Oyster bracelet is great but I already have it on my YM with PCL's and my SD43 fully brushed. So I'd fancy a bit of a change and would favour a jubilee bracelet.

I would be all over a Coke on Oyster. That is what I have been hoping for for the past couple of years. Bring it on.

Yes! Would love to see a Coke GMT. Also wished the bracelet was a brushed Glidelock. I will keep dreaming, it won’t happen anytime soon.

I don't think from the years I have been on TRF that a leak has been proved right before a Basel release. RPR has been close (and I believe was right about their prediction for the Daytona) but not sure if an AD would know this seven months before Basel.
We guessed about them bringing out the GMT Coke this year, and Rolex brought out the Pepsi and CHNR. If Rolex does bring out the Coke it will be a great hit as the Pepsi (or even more) was this year and yes I would be definitely on that waiting list for one. The Photoshop pics on this thread look amazing (the Coke will look amazing on both the Jubliee or PCL bracelet - just like the BLNR does) but I doubt the red will ever be a true red ... just my opinion. (I will save the pictures though, just in case lol) |

Over the years I have come to doubt that AD's know any more than the enthusiast what a watch company, particularly Rolex, will and won't do. This is no different to any product and "the guy that takes your money". Their only real value is that they have the control over "who" they give it to. That makes them Mr Popular.

Put the new movement in a LN model, discontinue the BLNR, and potentially add a Coke. The last part doesn't need to happen, but the first two would be my educated guess.

I would have thought the Coke SS would come before the SS Pepsi.

that would be great to have both pepsi and coke but we will know only in March... highly doubt it anyways.
Next year is not supposed to be the Sub turn to get some novelty ? |

A black and red bezel would really look sharp with a red 24hr. hand and red gmt script, I'd be interested. Of the current models now I prefer thr LN.

No way they’ll release another stainless steel GMT variation one year after the BLRO. New movement in the BLNR and LN would be far more likely.

Coke GMT would be so nice, especially if available on both oyster and Jubilee bracelet the way it used to be 20 years ago: in 1998 I bought a 16700 Pepsi, the AD had two, one on oyster, one on jubilee (I went with the latter) bracelet ... Maybe one day, that option will be a reality again!

Oh man, BLNR value would shoot through the roof if that ever happened. But I agree, they would have too many color options (a la the Datejust) on one model at the same time that it would make sense to kill one off.

Ceramic Explorer 2, just a fun guess...think about it, it’s the last-ish SS Sports model without a ceramic marked bezel.

They would probably release a Coke in PM first, same as what they did for the Pepsi, if anything.
